Eddy is the tritagonist in the 1999 Cartoon Network series, Ed, Edd n Eddy.
His obsession with money, jawbreakers, and attention makes him not very well liked by the cul-de-sac and Eddy doesn't care if someone gets hurt in his attempts to acquire his wants.
At the end of the Ed, Edd n Eddy movie, his behaviour was argued to have been a misinformed act and he managed to get on friendly terms with the other kids after admitting to his faults.
Within the Ed, Edd n Eddy fandom, Eddy is considered the second most popular Ed. Common tropes applied to his character are the design choices to give him a conventional haircut and keep him short and chubby as an adult, and there were long periods of time where fanartists portrayed him as bi- or homosexual. From the show's conception till around the 2010s, Eddy was often shipped with Edd, with other common, romantic contenders being Nazz and Lee Kanker.
Many believe "McGee" to be his surname, a name spawned from misheard gibberish ("ma-gy") uttered by Ed in the episode, "My Fair Ed", and his hair blue based on a wig the Kankers gave him in the episode, "Quick Shot Ed".
