"The Eds" is the collective name for the three protagonists of the 1999 Cartoon Network series, Ed, Edd n Eddy.
The group consists out of Ed, Edd, and Eddy; three odd friends who spend their summer vacation trying to scam their fellow neighbourhood kids out of their money for the primary goal of getting their hands on their favourite candy.
Starting season 5, their focus on money/jawbreakers shifts and they're more concerned with school-related shenanigans.
Within the Ed, Edd n Eddy fandom, the Eds are the most popular characters and there are relatively few fanstories out there that don't include at least one of them. Having that said, they don't enjoy equal popularity, with Edd starring in the most fanart and fanfiction, Eddy sitting at second place, while artists seldom make Ed the sole/main focus.
A recurring trope that involves all three Eds is to depict them as stoners or give them an overall shoddy appearance as adults.
